The Nicosia Tourism Board participated in the Transnational Experiential Training of Trainers for the Erasmus+ project WellMe. Hosted by Fundacja Autokreacja, the two-day event brought together youth trainers, researchers, and partner organizations from Cyprus, Greece, Spain and Poland, creating a vibrant space for learning, collaboration and the exchange of innovative practices in youth wellbeing.

The training introduced participants to the practical methodologies developed within the WellMe project. Through interactive workshops, group discussions and experiential activities, trainers explored new approaches for supporting young people, particularly those living in local and rural communities, while strengthening their own capacity to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
Throughout the training, participants worked on topics from positive psychology and resilience to healthy lifestyles, physical activity, youth belonging and the transition to adulthood. Rather than focusing solely on theory, each session encouraged participants to actively experience the training methods themselves, exchange ideas and reflect on how these tools can be transferred to their own communities and organisations.
As an active member of the consortium, the Nicosia Tourism Board facilitated the training module “Move to Thrive: Integrating Physical Activity into Youth Wellbeing.” The session highlighted the important role of movement and physical activity in improving young people’s overall well-being, while demonstrating practical, easy-to-implement activities that youth workers can integrate into their everyday practice. Interactive exercises and collaborative discussions encouraged participants to rethink how physical activity can become a powerful tool for inclusion, engagement and personal development.
Beyond the training sessions, the event offered valuable opportunities for networking and intercultural exchange, allowing partners to strengthen their cooperation and share experiences from their respective countries. The closing evaluation session confirmed the value of the experiential approach and reinforced the consortium’s common vision of creating sustainable Wellbeing Hubs that empower young people and foster healthier, more connected local communities.
