Nicosia Tourism Board in Green Host Project as Partner and Work Package Leader

The Nicosia Tourism Board proudly announces its pivotal role in the GreenHost Project, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at revolutionizing sustainable hospitality education across Europe. Serving as both a partner and a work package leader, the Nicosia Tourism Board is poised to make significant contributions to this ambitious endeavor.

Under the auspices of the GreenHost Project, titled “Vocational Excellence, Policy & Enterprise United for Hospitality Management Skills Adapted on Environmental Footprint Methods,” the Nicosia Tourism Board along with other 18 partners will play a crucial role in shaping the future of hospitality management with a focus on sustainability. The board will collaborate with a consortium of 19 partners from 7 countries, including Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Italy, Spain, Slovenia, and Portugal, to drive innovation and foster environmental responsibility in the hospitality sector.

In addition to its role as a partner, the Nicosia Tourism Board will take the lead as one of the work package’s leader, overseeing key aspects of the project’s implementation and ensuring its success. Leveraging its expertise and resources, the board is committed to advancing the project’s goals and objectives, which include promoting vocational excellence and establishing Centers of Vocational Excellence in partner countries.

The GreenHost Project is funded by the European Union with a total budget of €2.485.102,00 and a duration of 48 months from March 15, 2024, to March 14, 2028. Through collaboration and innovation, the project aims to equip hospitality professionals and students with the skills and knowledge needed to minimize environmental impact while maximizing economic and social benefits.
