Tour of ETAP (Visit Nicosia) in the villages of mountainous Nicosia

The prospects for tourism development are on the carpet.
A delegation of the Tourism Development and Promotion Company (ETAP) of Nicosia led by the president Theodoros Krigou, held a series of meetings with the community leaders Mr. Christakis Xenophontos (Pharmaka), Mr. Nikos Ioannou (Kambi), Mr. Sofoklis Markidis (Fikardou), Mr. Koulli Rozou (Gourri) and Mr. Frini Papadopoulou (Lasania). The meetings recorded the prospects for developing new authentic routes and points of interest in the specific communities.
ETAP Nicosia had the opportunity to consider the possibility of assistance in projects that are planned or in the process of implementation. Also, the issue of co-organization of joint events was raised. At the same time, the community authorities were informed about the financial opportunities available from the Plans of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.
The meetings were also attended by members of the Farmaka and Kambi youth councils, while at the same time visits were also made to local home crafts (Eleni’s sweets, “Militsa” militsa production workshop) that promote Cypriot gastronomy.
ETAP of Nicosia considers the role that these companies and the youth can play in the development of tourism in the mountain communities of crucial importance, as this sector can be a healthy field of economic progress.
