Nicosia Tourism board participates in the European Project “The contribution of Cultural and Creative Industries in Cultural and Creative Tourism in Europe”/

“Cultural and Creative Industries contribution to Cultural and Creative Tourism in Europe” with the acronym “Cult-CREATE”.

The project is implemented within the framework of the Interregional Cooperation Program
INTERREG EUROPE, which is co-financed by the European Regional Fund
Development and from own resources and the total budget is 1,798,270 million.
Euro.
In the corporate scheme, the main partner is Vidzeme Tourism Association (Latvia), and
partners the Region of Veneto (Italy), Cork City Council (Ireland), the Chamber
of Trade and Industry of Pécs-Baranya (Hungary), the Tourism Development Company
and Promotion Region of Nicosia (Cyprus), Dundee City Council (England), n
Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region (Poland), Naoussa Municipality (Greece) and the European
Cultural Tourism Network (ECTN) (Belgium).
The general objective of the project is the development of the Cultural and Creative Industries
through the development of new products and services related to Culture
and Creative Tourism. Cooperation between participating countries is considered
necessary to achieve this goal since different cities have
another level of development in the fields of Cultural and Creative Tourism.
The Nicosia Municipality Tourism Development and Promotion Company participated in the first
technical meeting of the project organized by the lead partner in Riga
Latvia on November 13-15 and had the opportunity to present the existing one
situation in Nicosia regarding the Cultural and Creative Industries.
