The tour conducted by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Savvas Perdios, in the villages of Farmakas and Kabi Farmakas was constructive. Accompanied by the president of the Nicosia Tourism Development and Promotion Company (ETAP), Theodoros Krigou, he had the opportunity to learn about the tourism development projects and other infrastructure projects in the area.
Of particular interest were the visits to production facilities of traditional products, such as “X&M Traditional Sausages”, “Glyka tis Eleni”, “MKK” tomato products, cider production, “Militsa Apple Cider” and the “Santa Irene” winery & Ierambelos.
As part of the tour, Mr. Perdios visited the Farmakas village square, where the Community Council’s infrastructure projects are being carried out for common spaces for the promotion of local products and the “Kossinas” excursion area, where infrastructure is being upgraded with places to study nature and develop thematic experiences.
In Kambi Pharmaka, the Deputy Minister of Tourism and the president of ETAP Nicosia saw up close the infrastructure upgrading projects being carried out at the Kamaroto and Kato Abelia bridges, at the “Aidonia” nature trail and at “Kolymbos”. They also visited the Kakkura – Farmaka waterfall.
The tour of the Deputy Minister conveyed the state’s interest in development and progress in this region. As ETAP of Nicosia, we remain committed to supporting, participating, financing and co-financing projects that will highlight the villages of the region as a tourist destination.
