This year’s World Tourism Day is dedicated to Tourism for Inclusive Growth “. The aim is to harmonize world tourism with the principles of the Sustainable Development Model, with more emphasis on the quality upgrading of the tourism product and the optimization of the services provided to visitors.
In this context, the Nicosia Region’s Tourism Development and Promotion Company (ETAP) is promoting actions and implements strategies aimed at integrating sustainable development into the tourism product of the city and the Nicosia province. Indicatively in 2021, ETAP held a series of events such as cycling guided tours in Nicosia, Wine Safari on Pharmacia etc., supported cultural events such as Aglanjazz, and implemented infrastructure projects in Nicosia province, such as the opening of the Nicosia District. . At the same time, ETAP is involved in European programs related to cultural and accessible tourism, along with other partners from European countries.
