ETAP Nicosia had the pleasure of hosting the European Travel Agents’ and Tour Operators’ Association (ECTAA) who was in Nicosia, for the Organization’s semi-annual meeting.
The meeting, which took place on June 9 and 10 in Nicosia, was attended by more than 40 representatives of travel agencies from all over Europe.
ETAP of Nicosia, in the context of hosting European tourist agencies, organized a tour of the historic center of old Nicosia, while afterwards they hosted a meal of honor for the participants, in a traditional Nicosia tavern.
Among the topics discussed during the dinner was the strengthening of cooperation between the two Organizations and the promotion of Nicosia as a tourist destination in the European markets.
ETAP Nicosia will continue its contacts with tourism agencies both in Cyprus and abroad, with the aim of better promoting the capital and strengthening its tourist image.

The Tourism Development and Promotion Company (ETAP) of the Nicosia Region is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2007 as part of the strategic planning and plan of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism. The purpose of ETAP Nicosia is the development and promotion of both the city and the region of Nicosia and their transformation into a quality year-round tourist destination. In order to achieve its actions, ETAP collaborates with various bodies at the local, regional and international level, both in the public and private sectors. Its main pillars of activity are cultural and creative tourism, conference and professional tourism, religious tourism, sports and wellness tourism.
