Kick-off for our Hands Across Generations project<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nicosia Tourism Board (NTB) took part in the kick-off of the European project \u201cHands Across Generations \u2013 Preserving Intangible Heritage through Intergenerational Craft Exchange\u201d<\/em>, held in Carlow, Ireland, on 21\u201322 October 2025, and hosted by the Carlow County Council, the project’s lead partner. <\/p>\n\n\n

The project, funded by the Erasmus+ VET (Vocational Education and Training) programme, seeks to safeguard Europe\u2019s intangible cultural heritage by fostering intergenerational exchanges of craft skills: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through a reciprocal learning process, experienced artisans, guardians of traditional craftsmanship, mentor and collaborate with young vocational trainees to ensure that these skills are preserved, adapted to modern digital contexts and transmitted sustainably.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative promotes knowledge transfer between master artisans and young apprentices, the digitalisation of traditional techniques, and the integration of sustainable practices and circular economy principles within the craft sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
