
Kicking off the GreenSET MEDSSIM Pilot in Nicosia
Over the past days, three SMEs — Nonna Rosa Pizzeria, Handmade in Cyprus, and Hermann Gourmet Cosmetics — joined us for an online introduction followed by an in-person group training.
GreenSET is a project under the Interreg Euro-MED programme dedicated to accelerating the circular transformation of the Mediterranean tourism sector. It empowers Business Support Organisations (BSOs) by providing them with the MEDSSIM methodology, tools, training, and a competence framework to help small and medium‐sized tourism businesses (SMEs) improve resource efficiency, reduce environmental impacts, and foster sustainable innovations. With outputs such as a best practice library, an expert certification scheme, and standardized capacity‐building materials, GreenSET aims to embed circular economy principles into tourism business models across the region to ensure long-term resilience, competitiveness, and environmental sustainability.
