The Nicosia Tourism Board is pleased to announce an exciting new opportunity within the framework of European cooperation, through the IndusTour project, co-funded by the Interreg Europe programme.
As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainable tourism development and innovation, we are currently inviting applications for an IVY (Interreg Volunteer Youth) Project Partner position, to be based in Nicosia, Cyprus.
About the IndusTour Project
The IndusTour project focuses on enhancing industrial tourism as a tool for regional development. By highlighting industrial heritage, local production, and authentic experiences, the project aims to diversify tourism offerings and strengthen local economies across Europe.
Through this initiative, Nicosia is actively contributing to the exchange of best practices and the promotion of innovative tourism strategies.
About the IVY Programme
The Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) programme, coordinated by the Association of European Border Regions, offers young people the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in European territorial cooperation projects.
Selected volunteers work closely with project partners, supporting communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Role & Responsibilities
The selected IVY volunteer will support the Nicosia Tourism Board in:
- Assisting with communication and dissemination activities
- Supporting the organisation of international meetings and events
- Contributing to content creation (articles, social media, reports)
- Promoting best practices in industrial and cultural tourism
- Engaging with local and international stakeholders
Position Details
- 📍 Location: Nicosia, Cyprus
- 📅 Start Date: May 2026
- ⏳ Duration: 6 months
- 💰 Financial Support: Monthly allowance provided through the IVY programme
