Cult-CreaTE is an Interreg Europe project that harnesses the potential of Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) to drive innovation in Cultural and Creative Tourism (CCT) across eight European regions. Recognizing that cultural tourism must evolve to engage new generations, the project highlights CCIs as vital engines of creativity, co-creation, and sustainability in tourism. Its overall objective is to redeploy CCIs for the development and promotion of CCT strategies, with a focus on sustainability, innovation, policy learning, and capacity building. Key outputs include regional action plans, improved policy instruments, and enhanced collaboration between public and private actors in tourism, culture, and the creative sectors. By strengthening synergies between CCIs and sustainable tourism, Cult-CreaTE seeks to foster regional growth, attract new investments, create jobs—particularly for youth—and contribute to EU-wide policy learning, knowledge sharing, and the Europe 2020 Strategy objectives.
