Introduction
The Hands Across Generations Project (Erasmus+ VET) aims to preserve Europe’s intangible cultural heritage by fostering intergenerational knowledge transfer between older and younger artisans, while embedding sustainability and eco-friendly entrepreneurship practices into vocational craft training. By digitally empowering older artisans, the project ensures their active participation in vocational education and strengthens collaboration across generations. Through tailored digital literacy programmes, mentorship workshops, sustainability-focused training, and the creation of a multilingual Digital Heritage Toolkit, the project supports innovation and long-term resilience in craft sectors. Expected outcomes include improved employability, greater integration of sustainable practices, policy advocacy at local and European levels, and lasting networks that enhance cultural preservation and sustainable growth.
