The second edition of the GreenSET newsletter is now available, offering a comprehensive overview of the project’s progress and achievements over the past months.
Since October 2025, GreenSET partners across nine Mediterranean countries have been actively working to support the transition of tourism SMEs towards more sustainable and circular practices. A major milestone has been the implementation of the MEDSSIM methodology, following the successful completion of the train-the-trainer programme for all partners.
The project has also reached an important outreach milestone through its open call, engaging more than 15,000 tourism SMEs across the region. This strong response highlights the growing interest and need for practical tools and support in advancing sustainability within the tourism sector.
Collaboration remains at the heart of GreenSET. The second Steering Committee meeting in Nice brought partners together to align efforts, share insights, and shape the next phase of implementation. At the same time, partners have been actively promoting the project at local and international level, contributing to knowledge exchange and strengthening connections across the Euro-MED community.
This edition also introduces new communication outputs, including a dedicated article on the role of Business Support Organisations in the circular transformation of tourism SMEs, as well as a video presenting the MEDSSIM approach in a clear and accessible way.
Looking ahead, the project continues to build momentum, with pilot activities underway and the next Steering Committee meeting planned in Heraklion, Crete, where partners will further refine tools, share lessons learned, and plan the next steps.
Stay tuned for more updates as GreenSET continues to support a greener, more resilient tourism ecosystem across the Mediterranean.
